The five research councils each have a chair and a vice-chair. Together with the chair and vice-chair of the board, the chairs of the councils form the Chairpersons’ group. The group’s role is to ensure flexible collaboration across the five academic councils and the board. Among other responsibilities, it coordinates the participation of the research councils in international research collaborations.
The Chairpersons’ group is constituted annually (at the first meeting of the new calendar year) and elects a chair from among its members to serve for one year.
