Independent Research Fund Denmark | Humanities supports specific research activities based on the initiatives of the researchers and gives scientific advice within the scientific areas of the council.
DFF | Humanities offers funding for researchers who work within the following disciplines: art history, architecture and design, media studies, film studies, musicology, IT and technology studies in the humanities, comparative literature, dramaturgy, philology, linguistics, communication research, anthropology, ethnology, archaeology, history, philosophy, history of ideas and science, theology, comparative religion, educational theory, pedagogy, psychology and other related research disciplines within the humanities, such as library research, museology, as well as humanistic research within sports science, public health, urban and physical planning.
Independent Research Fund Denmark | Humanities allocates research grants to researchers working within these areas. Furthermore, the council provides scientific advice in relation to humanistic issues. The advice is given according to request or on the council's own initiative.
Independent Research Fund Denmark annually publishes a call inviting researchers to apply for funding for research activities within the scientific areas of the council. The council’s 12 members are acknowledged researchers appointed by the Minister for Science and Higher Education in their own personal capacity.
