Independent Research Fund Denmark | Natural Sciences allocates research grants to researchers working within natural sciences, computer science and mathematics with a cognition-related, but not necessarily practical aim. Furthermore, the council provides scientific advice within the areas of natural sciences, computer science and mathematics. Advice is given according to request or on the fund's own initiative.
DFF | Natural Sciences offers funding to researchers who investigate fundamental scientific issues within the natural sciences, computer science and mathematics, with an epistemological but not necessarily an applied scientific objective. The council covers research within the classical disciplines: astronomy, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, molecular biology, biochemistry/ biophysics, biology, geology as well as the natural science aspects of geography.
Independent Research Fund Denmark annually publishes a call inviting researchers to apply for funding for research activities within the scientific areas of the fund. The council's 15 members are acknowledged researchers appointed by the Minister for Science and Higher Education in their own personal capacity.
