Annual report 2019 - 391 research ideas funded with DKK 1.233 million

2019 was the year when researchers applied the Independent Research Fund Denmark for the highest amount in three years, more precisely DKK 9.4 billion. It was also the year when the Fund could celebrate having funded 10,000 original ideas from 2004-2019.

Cultivating 391 new ideas
During 2019, Independent Research Fund Denmark invested a total of DKK 1.233 billion in 391 great ideas. With an average size of DKK 3.2 million per grant, the Fund is contributing to the initiation of original research ideas across the scientific landscape, for researchers at all stages of their careers.
