DKK 100 million for psychiatry

Researchers can apply for funding from a total pool of DKK 100 million for original ideas that can contribute to securing a better framework for research in psychiatry.

The research can, among other things, support research in prevention, causality, early efforts, treatment, quality, connection and involvement of users and next of kin, poor mental well-being, loneliness, etc.

The initiative is aimed at creating a better framework for research into the prevention and treatment of mental disorders, including ensuring that people who suffer from mental illnesses benefit from efforts of a high professional quality and strengthening research into the prevention of poor mental well-being and mental illness as well as the treatment of mental illness. Furthermore, the initiative will contribute to strengthening the academic/scientific environments as well as the opportunity of recruiting and retaining employees across the field of psychiatry as a whole. The effort is to be seen in the context of the national research strategy from 2015 “Research for the benefit of people with mental illnesses – a national strategy”.

With this call, it is also possible to initiate clinical research within psychiatry.

Thematic research funds

The call will be within the budgetary framework and requirements of DFF-Research Project1 (thematic) and DFF-Research Project2 (thematic).

Note that the amount limit has been adjusted so that up to DKK 2.2 million (excluding overhead) can be applied for under DFF-Research Project1 (thematic) and between DKK 2,2 and 4,3 million (excluding overhead) under DFF-Research Project2 (thematic).

Application forms in e-grant are available now. Applications must be uploaded in the application system www.e-grant.dk no later than Wednesday 14 June 2023 at 12:00 (noon).
