Independent Research Fund Denmark announces a call for proposals for the Inge Lehmann Programme 2023

The call for proposals for the Inge Lehmann programme (2023) has now been published. A total of DKK 81.8 million will enable most capable researchers in the beginning of their research career to develop their potential as excellent research leaders. The programme’s intention is promote a more even gender ratio in Danish research environments. Researchers may apply until the deadline of 21 June 2023 at 12:00 (noon).

Independent Research Fund Denmark publishes the ‘Inge Lehmann Programme’ (2023) as a consequence of the political agreements of 28 February 2023 on the distribution of the research reserve in 2023.

New research leaders and a more even gender ratio in research environments

Researchers can apply from a total pool of DKK 81.8 million for funding for original ideas within and across all research areas. This will enable talented researchers in the beginning of their research career to develop their potential as excellent research leaders.

The objective of the Inge Lehmann programme to promote a more even gender ratio in research environments, focusing on the career steps where the unbalance sets in. The programme is open to all scientific areas and to men as well as women, but through exemption pursuant to Section 3 of the Equal Opportunities Act, DFF will, as a general rule, choose female applicants over male in case of equal qualifications between two applicants.

Thematic research funds

The call will be within the budgetary framework and requirements of DFF-Research Project1 (Inge Lehmann).

Please note that the amount limit has been adjusted so that up to DKK 2.2 million (excluding overhead) can be applied for under DFF-Research Project1 (thematic).
The application form in e-grant is available now. Applications must be uploaded in the application system www.e-grant.dk no later than Tuesday 21 June 2023 at 12:00 (noon).
