1.7 billion kroner has given original Danish research a boost in 2023

»In 2023, the Independent Research Fund Denmark was entrusted with disbursing the highest amount to date, namely 1.7 billion kroner for groundbreaking research projects, using both free, independent funds and thematic funds for areas such as 'Free Green Research,' 'Strengthened Clinical and Independent Research,' 'Children and Youth,' and 'Better Frameworks for Psychiatry',« states Chair Søren Serritzlew in the Chair's Report in the annual report. He continues: »In 2023, this resulted in the highest number of grants to date, with 545 new research projects that can now begin to make us wiser than we are today. One of the core tasks of the Independent Research Fund Denmark is precisely to support researchers and emerging research environments with the potential to create breakthroughs.«
