News Item
Independent Research Fund Denmark has decided to extent the application deadline for the thematic funds for ”Arctic research – Climate change and sustainable arctic communities”.
Originally, the application deadline was on 4 June 2024 at 12:00 (noon). The deadline is hereby extended with one week and thus Tuesday on 11 June 2024 at 12:00 (noon).
The application deadline is extended due to a minor adjustment of the thematic call for proposals with the title ”Climate”, in which the theme of ”Arctic research – Climate change and sustainable arctic communities” figures. In section 5.3.5.10 of the call, which concerns overhead rates, it now appears that institutions in Greenland and on the Faroe Islands receive the same overhead rate as the equivalent Danish institution. For example, University of Greenland and University of the Faroe Islands will, under this call for proposals, receive 44 percent in overhead on a par with Danish universities, while public hospitals and public museums in Greenland and on the Faroe Islands still receive 3.1 percent in overhead, exactly as was evident from the original call for proposals.
If you have already submitted your application to ”Arctic research – Climate change and sustainable arctic communities”, you can resume your application and make changes until the new application deadline.
The Office of Independent Research Fund Denmark will also contact applicants from institutions in Greenland and the Faroe Islands, who have already submitted their application, in order to make them aware of the changes regarding overhead rates.
