»It is a broad selection of various types of research, all sharing the common goal of supporting the development of Danish psychiatry. The quality is very high, and as a result, the committee has had many meaningful discussions to identify the best projects,« says Ingrid Melle, chair of the committee DFF | Thematic research – Better framework for research in psychiatry.

»The psychiatric sector is under pressure, and strengthening research in this field is essential. The new research projects can help ensure better treatment and prevention so that individuals with mental health disorders can receive high-quality assistance. Additionally, this initiative will bring greater focus to recruitment of staff,« says Søren Serritzlew, chair of Independent Research Fund Denmark.
