Ten intriguing transnational projects have now been selected, all aimed at examining both historical and contemporary crises with a particular focus on understanding the role of cultural and social practices in crisis management. A total of 46 research teams from across 19 countries have been assembled to demonstrate how the humanities can help mitigate and resolve crises, as well as bolster society's resilience during challenging times.

Four projects with Danish participation have passed the final selection and received funding. These include:

  • Anne Vestergaard from Copenhagen Business School with the project CMD: The Crisis of Migration Discourse: A Participatory Approach for a New Lexicon of Migration.
  • Katrine Baunvig from Aarhus University with the project CRIES: CRIses Established Singing. Investigations into the Inherent Potential of Collective Singing in Times of Social Crises in the Scandinavian and Baltic Regions.
  • Dina Lupin from the University of Copenhagen with the project Home in Crisis: Deconstructing ‘Home’ in Crisis - Understanding Intersecting Crises through the Lens of ‘Home’.
  • Andreas Bandak from the University of Copenhagen with the project TiCToC: Times of Crisis, Times in Crisis: The Temporalities of Europe in Polycrisis.
