The 15 researchers will each have the opportunity to independently conduct a research project at an international research institution, thereby strengthening their academic profile and future opportunities in the research world.

Their projects will include research on nuclear energy, modern poetry in Germanic languages, and the conversion of carbon dioxide into useful chemicals.

»When the fund chooses to award international postdoc grants, it is because we want to support the internationalization of Danish research while also providing support to researchers at all career stages. This allows individual researchers to enhance their academic profile at a research institution abroad while also ensuring that research is well-prepared for the future, « says Søren Serritzlew, chair of Independent Research Fund Denmark.

The 15 researchers will primarily be heading to other European countries, joining research institutions in the Netherlands, Austria, Greece, Norway, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, three of the researchers will be traveling all the way to the United States.
