About the Inge Lehmann Programme

The Inge Lehmann Programme is part of the political agreement of November 1, 2024, on the distribution of the 2025 research reserve.

According to the agreement, the purpose of the Inge Lehmann Programme is to support a more balanced gender representation in research environments, focusing on the career stages where gender disparities emerge.

The programme is open to all research fields and to both men and women. However, under an exemption based on Section 3 of the Gender Equality Act, Independent Research Fund Denmark will generally prioritize female applicants over male applicants in cases of equal qualifications between two candidates. However, an objective assessment will always be conducted, considering all relevant criteria regarding the applicants, regardless of gender.
