Open for applications: Nordic Exploratory Networks within the humanities and social sciences

The Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS) under NordForsk has launched a new call aimed at promoting collaboration among researchers at the early stages of their research careers within the humanities and social sciences. Applications are now open.

You can apply via NordForsk. The application must be submitted by the deadline of 15 April 2026 at 13:00.

The call for proposals is funded by the Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS), which is a collaboration between the research councils of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, with responsibility for research in the humanities and social sciences. The NOS-HS initiative operates under the auspices of NordForsk.

As a new feature, the call will use Distributed Peer Review (DPR) in the peer review process. This means that applicants themselves will participate as reviewers as part of testing new methods of peer review.
