Good advice for your application

Independent Research Fund Denmark recommends following the advice below before submitting an application to the fund.

  1. Start your application in the application system e-grant well in advance of the application deadline – you can create your application without submitting it, and you can always go back and edit the application up until the deadline.

  2. Look up the funding instrument that you wish to apply for. Read the text thoroughly, incl. the attached call, which contains further important information for you as an applicant.

  3. Pay special attention to the requirements that must be met in order for an application to be submitted for active consideration and scientific assessment. If these are not met, you will receive an administrative rejection, and your application will not be submitted for scientific assessment.

  4. Use the tools provided by the fund for counting the number of characters and calculating the PhD age.

  5. If you have access to a research support unit at your institution, you should use it – they can be helpful with many enquiries.

  6. Sign up for the fund's newsletter by clicking here. This way, you will be updated if the fund plans to hold webinars about the funding instrument you wish to apply for.
