Independent Research Fund Denmark approves one-year project extension due to COVID-19

Independent Research Fund Denmark approves one-year project extension due to COVID-19 Independent Research Fund Denmark has decided to approve a one-year project extension for all ongoing Sapere Aude, Research project 1 and Research project 2 grants. There is no need to apply for the project extension.

The extraordinary situation with Covid-19 has, among other things, as a result, that researchers for a certain period of time, cannot work at the research institutions, attend international conferences, do field work, etc., but instead have to try to work from home.

This may present difficulties in completing research projects within the project period originally set. Independent Research Fund Denmark therefore has decided to approve a general project extension of one year, for all ongoing Sapere Aude, Research project1 and Research project2 grants. There is no need to apply for this project extension.

At the same time, the fund will accept transfers between the individual budget items, within the total amount allocated.

The secretariat must be informed about project extension and wishes for transfer of budget items, so that the ongoing cases can be updated in e-grant.
