On this page you can read about the general guidelines for dissemination and publication applicable to grants awarded by Independent Research Fund Denmark. Please note that the guidelines which apply to your specific grant will be stated in your grant letter.
Your grant letter includes a unique grant ID consisting of DFF’s funder ID and your case number. When you register publications resulting from the grant in PURE or with publishers, etc., you are requested to link your grant ID to the publication. This ensures that the fund can easily identify the publications that are the result of your project.
It is a requirement that the principles in the “Open Access Policy for public research funds and foundations” are followed. This means that published scientific articles, which are the result of full or partial funding from Independent Research Fund Denmark, must be made freely available to everyone via green Open Access, if the journal allows it.
You can find the full wording of the policy and the specific rules at the fund’s Open Access policy.
Receiving a grant also entails an obligation to disseminate about your project and the achieved results – also beyond scientific publishing. In other words, popularised scientific dissemination.
For all publishing and communication related to the project, as well as in contact with the press, you must ensure that it is clearly stated that the project is funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark. In this regard, the fund expects you to use its logo, which can be found here, where relevant.
You can subscribe to news from the fund by signing up for its newsletter (only in Danish):
We also encourage you to follow the fund on LinkedIn. You are welcome to tag the fund’s profile here in relevant updates about your DFF project. You are also welcome to spread the word about your research or the fund in general on other social media platforms.
