Nyt internationalt opslag: CHANSE Transformations: Social and Cultural Dynamics in the Digital Age

Det fulde, endelige opslag for CHANSE lanceres d. 9. marts 2021, hvor det elektroniske ansøgningssystem ligeledes åbner. Det vil herefter være muligt at indsende ansøgninger frem til ansøgningsfristen d. 7. maj 2021 kl. 14.00.

Potentielle ansøgere bør løbende holde sig orienteret på CHANSE’s hjemmeside. De endelige krav for danske projektdeltagere vil fremgå på CHANSE’s hjemmeside senest d. 9. marts 2021.

Foruden de krav og kriterier, der vil fremgå af det officielle opslag, vil projektdeltagere i CHANSE-projekter skulle leve op til diverse nationale og regionale krav og retningslinjer. Ansøgninger til CHANSE vil bestå af forskningsteams med minimum fire forskningsledere (Principal Investigators) fra fire forskellige lande. Hvert projekt vil derudover have en overordnet projektleder (Project Leader). Danske projektledere og forskningsledere i CHANSE forventes at skulle leve op til en række krav.

Opslagets samlede budget er på 36 mio. euro (cirka 270 mio. kr.), hvoraf 26 mio. euro finansieres af de nationale forskningsfinansierende fonde og 10 mio. euro finansieres af Europa-Kommissionen. 

CHANSE-programmet er et resultat af et nyt samarbejde mellem de to europæiske forskningsnetværk, HERA (Humanities in the European Research Area) og NORFACE (New Opportunities for Research Funding Agency Cooperation in Europe). Det nye program implementeres af 27 forskningsfinansierende fonde fra 24 forskellige lande og koordineres af National Science Centre, Polen (NCN). Danmarks Frie Forskningsfonds forskningsråd for Kultur og Kommunikation og Samfund og Erhverv finansierer programmet fra dansk side.

Requirements for CHANSE applicants based in Denmark

Who can apply?
Project Leaders (PL) and Principal Investigators (PI) must be able to document independent research experience typically corresponding to 3 years of research after having obtained a PhD (or similar qualifications).

What are eligible costs for researchers based in Denmark?
Researchers may apply for funding to cover all expenses directly attributable to the project, and which are relevant and necessary in order to carry out the project. To this should be added overhead/administration expenses. The limit for overhead expenses is 25 %.

In addition, the terms and conditions for Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF) calls also stand for researchers applying for support from CHANSE via Danish institutions – please refer to the current independent research call.

Please note that DFF expects that expenses for books, normal work PCs, general software and other general work tools to be covered by the hosting institutions’ overhead. Please also note that DFF does not fund expenses associated with Open Access publishing.

Separate Danish financial budget table at Full Proposal stage
Applicants progressing to the Full Proposal stage in CHANSE will be required to complete and upload a separate Danish financial budget table as an individual annex to the Full Proposal. This budget table should only specify expenses related to the Danish sub-project and costs must be given in DKK (1 EUR = 7,5 DKK).
The budget must be divided into the following overall budget items:
• Scientific/academic salaries, incl. salaries for visiting researchers from abroad
• Salaries for PhD-students
• Post-doctoral salaries
• Technical/administrative salaries
• Equipment expenses
• Operating expenses e.g. field work, data collection, hosting of seminars.
