Annual report 2018 - statistics
In 2018, Independent Research Fund Denmark granted a total amount of DKK 1.179 billion. The fund supports 414 original research ideas within all major scientific fields.

Last year, Independent Research Fund Denmark invested DKK 850 million in 261 research projects. DKK 100 million thereof went into thematic research.
Another DKK 192 million went to 34 new Sapere Aude DFF-Starting Grants, thereby giving 34 scientists the opportunity to build a career as a research leader.
Furthermore, over DKK 100 million have gone into a broad variety of ideas supporting Danish research.
