CoARA / ARRA

Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF) aims to support a higher degree of diversity in the assessment of researchers, including recognition of the importance of the various tasks, roles and outputs that are relevant and essential to research. DFF has signed the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment (ARRA) in order to support this. DFF works strategically with better research assessment through its Action Plan and the Danish National CoARA Chapter.

DFF CoARA Action Plan

The DFF CoARA Action Plan 2024-2027 outlines the fund’s activities. The action plan will be updated on an ongoing basis. If you have good questions, ideas or comments, feel free to contact us at arra@ufm.dk.

Denmark’s National CoARA Chapter

DFF is a co-initiator of Denmark’s national CoARA chapter, which was established in December 2025. The chapter was created at the initiative of a group of Danish research organisations that are members of CoARA, together with a wide range of other organisations that support the work on research assessment.

It is an open national network at administrative level, where stakeholders in the Danish research system can discuss challenges, share knowledge and practical experience, and find inspiration for the reform of research assessment. All interested research organisations are welcome to participate in the meetings. Read more about the chapter’s members on CoARA’s website and follow the chapter on LinkedIn to stay updated on activities and meetings.

DFF, the Villum Foundation and Aalborg University serve as co-chairs of the chapter.
