See the members of the thematic committees for 2025

In 2025, Independent Research Fund Denmark will allocate funds for thematic research across a number of politically determined themes. Applications will be assessed by the respective thematic committees, which have now been appointed.

In 2025, Independent Research Fund Denmark will allocate funds for thematic research within 11 themes. The fund’s Board of Directors has now appointed the members of the following thematic committees:

•    Research on artificial intelligence
•    Research on learning and wellbeing in primary schools
•    Green research
•    Research in psychiatry
•    Strengthened research in specialized social services
•    Strengthened clinical and independent research
•    Research on elderly, vulnerability and poor well-being (the committee assesses two different themes)

For two seats in the committee for “Green research”, there is yet to be appointed members. As soon as the members have been found, the overview of the committee will be updated on the website.

Independent Research Fund Denmark will also appoint a thematic committee to assess the theme “Arctic research – Climate change and sustainable Arctic communities”. The composition of the committee is expected to be announced on the fund’s website during May.

Furthermore, Independent Research Fund Denmark will allocate funds for the themes “Postdoctoral exchange programme in quantum research” and “Research on antisemitism”. Applications for these themes will be assessed by DFF | Natural Sciences (FNU) and DFF | Humanities (FKK) respectively and with involvement of external review.
